Kit Configuration
This kit allows you to adjust height and damping at all four corners of the car. This solves a number of problems that fast road, track day and race car drivers often run into as follows such as understeer, oversteer, lack of grip. The kit is also supplied with the correct spring rates, damper valving and ride height range (see Custom Build Specs section below).
The kit can be supplied with fixed camber front top mounts use drop down menu above to include these.

Adjustable Height
For fast road and track cars, this allows you to lower the car, lowering the centre of gravity and reducing body roll which increases mechanical grip. You will also be able to adjust the height at one end relative to the other. This is especially useful for front wheel drive cars where you might want to run the rear ride height higher than the front to reduce understeer.
For tarmac and gravel rally cars, the kit can be built with a ride height above original for increased ground clearance and (usually) increased damper stroke for greater wheel travel. Again, you will be able to adjust the height at one end relative to the other to alter handling characteristics.
Adjustable Damping
For fast road and track cars, this allows you to stiffen the cars suspension further reducing body roll to further increase mechanical grip. You will also be able to adjust the damping at one end relative to the other. This is especially useful for front wheel drive cars where you might want to stiffen the rear damping to reduce understeer as stiffening the rear or softening the front pushes weight onto the front wheels increasing grip.
For tarmac and gravel rally cars, the kit can be built to suit the terrain as you dont always want a smooth track stiff set up on undulating roads or loose surfaces.
The significant differences between the Gaz Gold dampers and the Gaz GHA dampers are the Gaz Gold dampers are larger in diameter (62mm diameter in most cases). This increases the oil capacity which allows the damper to resist oil cavitation and frothing and therefore damper fade which maintains a consistent damping over the course of a race or track day.
The larger dampers also means that larger bearings and rods can be used which are designed to withstand the high side loadings of semi and full slick tyres often seen on serious track day cars and many race formula.
Custom Build Specs
Whilst it is true that height and damping adjustability will allow you to fine tune your cars handling characteristics, it is absolutely vital that the spring rates and the damper valving and the ride height range of the kit are correctly specified to suit your cars specification and use.
Once you order your Gaz Gold kit from us, we email you to find out what the car is being used for, the basic specification that affects the original weight of the car (if you know the corner weights of the car so much the better), the tyres being used (road, semi, full slick etc) and the current and planned power output of the engine.
